How to use the acupressure mat
Place your mat on a flat surface or on a bed. Undress to have your bare skin against the mat. Sit down at one end of the mat and lie down on you back.
During the first 5 minutes you might feel a light pain: it’s normal. This is a result of the accumulated tensions in the body. By focusing on your breath, tension and pain will quickly go away. Even if you feel some pain, you should not stand up. It is part of the process: your body needs some time to adjust.
After 5 to 10 minutes, your body will release endorphins. This will reduce the pain feeling and increase a feeling of relaxation throughout your body.
Always make sure you back is fully in contact with the mat. If you back arches, slightly pull your legs up until your back is in contact with the mat.
You can use the mat from 30 minutes to 1 hour per session. If you don’t have much time to spare, even a quick 10 minutes nap will give you a rejuvenating boost.
